When his strings broke a few weeks away from his state exams, they were able to replace them within minutes - no wait time, no second visit to the store.As an added benefit - the rental portion of the monthly fees converts into credit for future instrument purchases, in case he decides to stick around and upgrade his instrument a few years down the line.

I’m planning on buying an instrument in April and they are very helpful when it comes to looking for the right one. Bob Murphy’s is the best! Edit 6 months later: I purchased a violin in December of 2024 handmade by Bella Leeb in Budapest, Hungary from Bob Murphy’s Violin shop. Not only was this the best decision I’ve ever made but my friends and family think so too. They are just terrific there and every time I leave the shop I just can’t wait to go back again. When purchasing the instrument they were outstandingly helpful and let me take my time playing on the instruments. Thank you Ryan and Rob for helping me buy that instrument and also for picking out a really nice case for it a couple months later. See you soon!
